Men’s Basketball Wins Region III Title

BATAVIA, NY… The #13 nationally ranked Genesee Community College men's basketball team won the program's fifth Region III title with an 82-70 victory over the North Country CC Saints Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Cougars are also the NJCAA Division III North District Champions and have clinched their ticket to the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championships.

Keysaun Murray had a game-high 29 points and five rebounds to lead the way for Genesee. Izick Reaves had a career-day, scoring 25 points, collecting nine rebounds, dished out one assist and had one steal. Said Adam scored 12 points and collected eight rebounds off the glass. Jerry Ortiz scored eight points, while Scotty Lee added six for the blue and gold.

Keysaun Murray from Genesee was named MVP of the Region III Tournament.
