BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team suffered a 76-72 loss to the Onondaga Community College Lazers Wednesday night.
Erina Ishiguro scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Cougars offense. Tylasia Weaver recorded her fifth double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and collecting 10 rebounds. LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 15 points, 10 rebounds, and a team-high seven assists to record a double-double. Abigail Willis scored 10 points and had five assists.
Turnovers late in the game by Genesee allowed the Lazers to put the game away with game-clinching free throws.
Genesee (3-2) will host Lakeland Community College on Friday afternoon at 5pm. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
