BATAVIA, NY… The #4 nationally ranked Genesee Community College men's basketball team earned a 88-85 win in the NJCAA Region III Division III Championship game vs the number 2 nationally ranked Onondaga Community College Lazers. The victory also earned Genesee the North District championship.
Jalen Willis had a team-high 26 points and 21 rebounds. Brett Talbert scored 17 points while Kevin Goode had 10 assists. Darius Brown scored 15 points for Genesee. Talbert was named to the all-tournament team and Willis was named tournament's MVP.
Genesee (22-4) advances to the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball national tournament with an 18-game win streak.
