Michael vonSchiller
Bio
At the helm of the GCC men’s basketball program for 12 seasons, Michael vonSchiller amassed more than 225 wins and led the Cougars to back-toback regional championships and NJCAA National Tournament appearances (2001-02, 2002-03), including the first Region III Division II undefeated regional record (32-0) in 2002-03. Between 2000-2004, vonSchiller’s teams put together an impressive 56-game home winning streak. Under Coach vonSchiller’s leadership, seven players reached 1,000 points during their careers and seven were named NJCAA All-American, along with many other all-conference and all-region selections. In addition to coaching at GCC, Michael spent 24 years as a faculty member in the College’s Health and Physical Education department.
