The Cougars are searching for a win for the first time since Jan. 4 and will travel to Erie Community College on Tuesday night.
Genesee (5-18, 0-7) has lost 11 straight contests, seven of which have come during Western New York Athletic Conference play.
Erie (11-11, 3-3) has climbed back to .500 in WNYAC play after starting 0-2.
Last time out:
Genesee fell on the road at Mercyhurst North East on Feb. 6, 58-38. Terra Clanton led the Cougars with 12 points, the only GCC scorer to reach double figures. Dashawna Jenifer finished with nine points and seven rebounds and Breana Gleaton added six points and five steals. The Cougars committed 31 turnovers and shot just 25.5 percent from the floor.
Erie defeated Jamestown Community College on Saturday, 69-51. Aaliyah Dunbar scored a game high 25 points and also collected eight rebounds. Bethany Hall added 16 points for the Kats, who forced 35 JCC turnovers.
What to watch for:
Genesee was 0-10 from 3pt-range against ECC on Jan. 23. Dashawna Jenifer and Breana Gleaton reached double figures in scoring for GCC, tallying 13 and 10 points respectively.
Erie has allowed 62 points per game to WNYAC opponents this season, the most in the conference. GCC has allowed 57.5 points per game to conference opponents.
