The Genesee Community College volleyball team will play its second to last regular season home match on Tuesday night when Finger Lakes Community College visits the Anthony T. Zambito Gymnasium for a 6 p.m. scheduled start.
The Cougars return home after a weekend split at the Grand Rapids Community College tournament, where GCC went 2-2.
Genesee (14-14) currently sits atop the Region III Division II standings, leading Mercyhurst North East in overall conference record (3-1) and head-to-head record (1-0).
Finger Lakes (10-10) is 3-1 in Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) play this season and are currently 10th in the Region III Division III standings.
Last time out:
The Cougars earned a 3-1 win over Cuyahoga Community College in their last match of the Grand Rapids CC tournament.
FLCC defeated Erie Community College in regional POD play, 3-0 on Sep. 27.
What to watch for:
Genesee is 4-1 vs. FLCC since 2009.
The Lakers defeated the Cougars in their only meeting in 2013, 3-2.
The Cougars have shut out the Lakers in three out of the last five meetings.
