The Genesee Community College volleyball team will travel to Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) opponent Jamestown Community College on Tuesday night to take on the Jayhawks in its third conference match of the season. The Cougars are 2-0 so far this fall in WNYAC play.
Genesee (5-11) has gone 4-2 in its last six contests after starting the season 1-9. The Cougars are coming off of a 2-2 weekend at the Lakeland Community College tournament.
Jamestown (6-3) is a perfect 2-0 against WNYAC opponents this season. The Jayhawks defeated Mercyhurst North East (3-1) on Sep. 4 and Niagara County Community College (3-2) on Sep. 9.

GCC dropped a 3-0 (21-25, 25-27, 16-25) decision to St. Clair Community College in its final match of the Lakeland CC tournament on Sep. 13. Ai Miyazaki totaled 13 kills and 13 digs, Yu Shimizu added 19 digs and Stephanie Toledo and Haley Case each finished with 16 digs apiece. The Cougars are now winless in two tries this season against St. Clair Community College.
Jamestown lost 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 14-25) to Fulton-Montgomery Community College in its final match of the Mohawk Valley Community College tournament. Shannon Gunnell recorded 13 digs and 10 kills, Mandy Finch finished with nine kills, six digs and three aces and Carly Abbate added eight digs.

Genesee went 2-1 against Jamestown last season.
JCC averages 9.19 kills per set while GCC is averaging 7.96.
Jamestown is 1-0 at home this season.
