The No. 9 Genesee Community College women's soccer team won its regular season home finale on Wednesday afternoon, shutting out Jamestown Community College 4-0.
Kayla Doyle made it a two goal game in the 31st minute after scoring her ninth goal of the season. Shawna Adams was credited with the assist. Doyle returned the favor just eight minutes later, setting up Adams for a goal to make it 3-0 Genesee. It was Adams' 26th goal of the year.
The Cougars held the three-goal lead through the first 20 minutes of the second half before Sarah Williams netted her fourth goal of the season in the 66th minute. Doyle earned her second assist of the game.
GCC held Jamestown to just six shots on net, all of which were saved by keeper Katlynne Tubo. Tubo earned her eighth shutout of the season.
Genesee (10-3) returns to action on the road on Saturday at Onondaga CC. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
