The Genesee Community College women's lacrosse team will play its final regular season road game of the 2014 season on Wednesday when the Cougars travel to Niagara County Community College to take on the Thunderwolves.
Genesee (4-3) is searching for a playoff berth for the first time in school history. The Cougars are currently in 4th place in the Region III standings.
Niagara (3-5) has won three of its last five games after starting the season 0-3.
Last time out:
Genesee defeated Broome Community College on Monday, 21-8. The 21 goals set a school record for most goals in a single game in school history. Kaliegh Murray scored eight of them, Ashley Makowski added five goals and four assists and Denae McGrath added three goals.
Niagara lost to Jefferson Community College on Saturday, 24-4.
What to watch for:
Genesee defeated Niagara 11-8 in the season opener at GCC on Mar. 26. Kaleigh Murray scored eight goals for the Cougars.
Genesee is 0-3 on the road this season and Niagara is 1-2 at home.
