BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team defeated the Mercyhurst Northeast Saints 93-56 Saturday afternoon. The victory on Sophomore Day makes Genesee's final record at 17-10 and 5-5 in Western New York Athletic Conference action.
TaLia Burgess recorded another double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Erina Ishiguro scored 23 points off the bench. Chevaneese Millington recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Grace McComb scored 15 points and added four assists.
Genesee will move on to the Region III Semifinals this coming weekend hosted at Niagara County Community College.
