Coming off of its first Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) win of the season, the Genesee Community College women's basketball team will continue on in conference play when the Cougars travel to Niagara County Community College on Thursday night.
Genesee (10-7, 1-3) ended a three-game losing skid at Erie Community College on Jan. 22 and the Cougars will end a two-date road stretch on Thursday night.
Niagara (18-5, 1-3) began the season 18-2 and 1-0 in conference play but the Thunderwolves have lost their last three contests, all against WNYAC teams.

The Cougars picked up a road win at Erie CC on Jan. 22, 75-52. Latricia Stephens' 24 point, 12 rebound double-double led the way for GCC which also saw Elsa Andersson (13 points) and Terra Clanton (10 points) reach double figures in scoring. The win was the first conference win for Genesee since Feb. 25, 2012.
Niagara lost to Jamestown Community College at home on Tuesday night, 79-69. Merrick Rowland scored a team-high 24 points for NCCC, Jesse DeWaters finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds and Tanisha Moyer and Val Odom each added 10 points.
What to watch for:
Thursday will be the first of three games in four games for GCC.
Genesee's last win at NCCC came on Feb. 25, 2012.
Niagara leads the season series 1-0. The Thunderwolves defeated the Cougars 68-49 on Jan. 15.
