The Genesee Community College softball team will play three doubleheaders in three days beginning on Friday, with each game having an impact on a potential playoff berth for the Cougars.
Genesee will host Cayuga Community College on Friday with first pitch slated for 4 p.m. Tompkins-Cortland Community College will travel to Batavia on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. and GCC will end the weekend at home against Erie Community College on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start time.
The Cougars currently sit in ninth place in the Division III Region III standings. The top eight teams receive a bid to the regional tournament.
Genesee is coming off of back-to-back losses at Onondaga Community College on Thursday night. GCC is 6-10 against Region III teams this year and swept Cayuga CC on Apr. 27. The Cougars have not faced Tompkins-Cortland Community College or Erie Community College this spring.
