Genesee Community College men's soccer midfielder Mitchell Robinson (Oldham, Lancashire, UK) has committed to Delta State University (M.S.) after signing a National Letter of Intent to join the Statesmen soccer program beginning in the fall.
Robinson appeared in 28 games and made 20 starts during his career at GCC. He recorded five goals and 10 assists in two years, totaling 20 points.
Delta State competes at the Division II level and is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) member school. The Statesmen are part of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) and played to a 6-10 record in 2015 under head coach Andy Robertson.
Genesee reached the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament for the second time in the program's history in 2015 after winning the Region III Group A title. The Cougars ended the season with a 20-1 overall record, the highest single-season win total in school history.
Robinson will receive scholarship to attend DSU and will study Sports Management.
