The No. 2 nationally-ranked men's soccer team made it 11 in a row on Saturday afternoon with a 6-0 win over visiting Erie CC. The streak continues the best start in school history.
William Stone started the scoring in the 7th minute, cashing in on a pass from Jack Speakman to put Genesee in front 1-0. Stone then assisted on a Bradley Gollop goal in the 12th minute to give GCC a 2-0 advantage.
The Cougars extended their lead to three in the 33rd minute when Darius Johnson scored unassisted, and then took a four-goal lead in the 39th minute after Rafael Godoi tallied his 11th goal of the season. Josh Denny earned the assist.
Stone added his second goal of the match in the 73rd minute to make a 5-0 game, and Kazuyuki Nakane ended the scoring with his second goal of the year in the 88th minute.
Genesee (11-0) ends its three-game home stand on Wednesday with a 5:30 P.M. start against Roberts Wesleyan JV.
