The No. 4 Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 24-2 victory over visiting Broome Community College on Wednesday night to extend its winning streak to five games in a row.
Genesee led 9-0 after the first quarter of play and extended its lead to 17-1 at the half. The Cougars went on to outscore BCC 7-1 in the second half.
14 different Cougars recorded a point in the game led by Jacob Bomberry who scored three goals and had six assists. Jimmy Smith, Cyrus Spruce and Brody Jorgenson each had three goals and Smith also added an assist. Mitchell Kinney added a goal and two assists and Kyle Fabian had two goals. Fabian also tied for the team lead with six ground balls.
Colton Reformat was 9 for 11 on face-offs and had a goal, an assist and six ground balls.
Genesee (8-3) will host Finger Lakes Community College at home in its next contest on Saturday at 1 p.m.
