Cougars Shut Out Niagara on the Road

The No. 4 Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team shut out Niagara County Community College at NCCC on Tuesday afternoon, 22-0.

Freshman goalie Brian Thielman made three saves in net to earn the shutout win.

In all, 18 different Cougars recorded a point in the game. Jacob Bomberry led the way with five goals and three assists and Cyrus Spruce scored four times and added an assist. Cameron Seneca tallied four points with three goals and an assist and Colin Brillian registered his first career goal and had two assists. 

Ray Tague went 7 for 10 on face-offs and Mike Caternolo was 6 for 9.

Joshua Wester led the team with four takeaways.

Genesee (4-3) returns to action at home on Thursday against Mohawk Valley Community College. Face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
