Wednesday will mark the first of two straight road games to end the regular season for the No. 6 Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team.
Genesee (7-4) will travel to Broome Community College for a 4 p.m. face-off against the Hornets. The Cougars have won two of their last three games.
Broome (3-7) will play its final regular season home game on Wednesday against GCC. The Hornets will travel to Niagara County Community College to complete its regular season schedule on Apr. 19.
Last time out:
The Cougars routed Cayuga Community College 14-2 in its final regular season home game on Apr. 12. Mitchel Kinney scored three times to lead GCC, which scored the first nine goals of the game. Mark Pucek split time in net and made seven saves.
Broome lost at Finger Lakes Community College 13-10 on Apr. 12. The Lakers took an 11-4 lead in the first half, but the Hornets held them to just two second half goals.
Daniel McAuliffe scored two goals and added two assists to lead BCC. Michael Ferranti and Tiano Tedino also added two goals apiece.
What to watch for:
Genesee is 3-2 in road or neutral site games this season and Broome is 0-3 at home.
The Cougars are 3-0 against Broome in their last three meetings. GCC won each game by an average of 11.7 goals.
