No. 14 nationally-ranked Genesee kicked off the second semester with a 99-50 win over visiting Cayuga Community College on Tuesday night, improving to 11-3 on the season and 6-0 against the Spartans since 2011.
All five starters scored in double-figures for the Cougars, led by Terrence Brown who finished with a game high 21.
GCC jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game and never trailed, holding the Spartans to just 25-percent shooting from the field.
Devante Carolina scored six of the first nine GCC points and ended the night with 19, including 3-6 from three-point range. Anthony Williams was one of three Cougars that recorded a double-double, scoring 16 points and adding 11 assists.
The Cougars will return to action at home on Thursday afternoon against Herkimer College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
