Wednesday will mark the end of the 2014-2015 regular season for the Genesee Community College men's basketball team when the Cougars host the University of Pittsburgh Titusville for a 7 p.m. start.
Genesee (19-8) finished its regular season Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) schedule 7-5 and will await its seeding for the Region III tournament, which begins on Feb. 24.
Pitt-Titusville (7-20) competes in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (WPCC). The Panthers recently advanced to the semifinals of the WPCC Tournament and will play their final two games of the season this week, beginning with GCC on Wednesday.

GCC survived a scare on the road at Jamestown Community College-Olean on Feb. 14, defeating the Jaguars in overtime, 91-88. Ervin Mitchell scored 36 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Gabriel Burroughs added 14 points, Devante Carolina scored 10 points and Rahsaan Williams collected 10 rebounds.
After advancing past the opening round of the WPCC Tournament, Pitt-Titusville fell to Boyce Community College in the semifinals on Feb. 14, 95-86.
What to watch for:
Ervin Mitchell is 40 points away from setting the career record for most points scored in GCC men's basketball history.
GCC is 4-6 in regular-season finales since 2004-2005.
The last matchup between Genesee and Pitt-Titusville was on Nov. 17, 2011 at GCC. The Cougars won the game, 94-62.
