Men's Basketball Takes Down Jamestown

Ervin Mitchell scored 30 points on Saturday afternoon to help the Genesee Community College men's basketball team to its 16th victory of the season after a 77-59 win over visiting Jamestown Community College.

Rahsaan Williams recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Naquil Jones added 12 points and six assists for the Cougars, who improve to 4-3 in Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) play and 16-5 overall with the win.

Genesee used a 12-2 run midway through the second half to stretch its lead into double-digits and the Cougars led comfortably the rest of the way.

Tarik Allicock came off the bench to grab nine boards and score four points for GCC, which will return to action on Sunday on the road at Herkimer College for a 1 p.m. tip-off.
