GCC heads out on the road to Niagara County Community College on Thursday night looking to extend its winning streak to three games. The Cougars defeated the Thunderwolves 98-84 in their first meeting of the year on Jan. 15 at GCC.
Genesee (15-4, 3-2) has won its last two games, both against Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) opponents. The Cougars currently rank No. 2 in the Region III standing behind Monroe Community College.
Niagara (15-6, 3-2) has won three of its last four games since the Jan. 15 meeting with GCC, its only loss coming on the road at Monroe Community College, 92-90.

Genesee rolled to a 110-85 win at home against Jamestown Community College-Olean on Tuesday night. Ervin Mitchell moved into sixth place on the all-time scoring list at GCC after a 35-point performance against JCC-Olean. Rahsaan Williams recorded his second double-double of the season, finishing with 12 rebounds and 10 points. Devante Carolina added 18 points and six boards and Naquil Jones had 16 points and a game-high six assists.
Niagara downed Jamestown Community College on Tuesday night, 94-76. Eli Jones had 35 points and nine rebounds, Sheldon Zablotny-Crosby added 16 points and six assists and Mike McQuillen finished with 12 points and eight assists.
What to watch for:
Ervin Mitchell led GCC with 26 points in the first matchup between GCC and NCCC on Jan. 15. Naquil Jones had 25 points.
Thursday will mark the second of four games this week for the Cougars.
GCC's Jason Perry Murray currently leads all of the NJCAA with a 77.4-percent field goal percentage.
Genesee is the third-leading scoring team in the country. Niagara ranks sixth.
