CHAUTAUQUA, NY: Genesee CC's Drew Morabito cracked the top-25 at the 2016 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Men's Golf National Championships, earning a 21st place finish at the four-round event which began on June 7th and concluded on Friday, June 10th.
Morabito shot a first-round 78 at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, carding a 38 on his final nine holes after shooting a 40, including three-over through three holes, to start the day.
He scored an 82 on a cold and windy day two and rebounded to shoot in the 70's on back-to-back days to end the week, shooting a 79 on day three and finishing with his best round of 74 on day four.
He finished the tournament plus-25 (313), which was 24 strokes off of the winner, Mohawk Valley CC's Dante Migliore (+1/289). Vincennes University (IN) captured the team championship, finishing plus-46 with a total score of 1198. Georgia Northwestern Tech (1213) and Minnesota State Comm. Tech (1219) rounded out the top three.
